It's been a little over a year now since we moved out to the desert. Phoenix has been wonderful. Of course that's easy to say now that's it not 120 degrees anymore! Snickers and Twix have also adjusted to life in Arizona. They love going hiking in the winter, but have learned it's better to be inside during the summer. A hard lesson to learn for me as I'm used to spending the summers outside. Just a slight adjustment.
Here's a brief synopsis of what has happened so far during the past year:
-Of course, y'all know we moved out here for Steven's job. While there have been some challenges, things are really improving with his company now.
-I got a new job in January. I'm working for Wilmington Trust in the Retirement and Institutional Services division. Basically, I help companies with their retirement plans.
-I joined my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, alumnae group. I have met some great friends through this group. I never knew joining a sorority would provide so much support after college.
My big news is I've sign up for a race in February. I haven't been running much lately, but I'm hoping this is the motivation I need to get back into it. The race is called the Ragnar Relay, http://www.ragnarrelay.com/delsol/index.php. I'm on a team of 12 people, and as a group, we run 200 miles in a little over 24 hours. I'm pretty excited!
That's about it for now. Nothing too exciting. Just looking forward to spending more time outside now that the weather is beautiful!
